Braces have been a staple for the straightening and aligning of the dental arches and the teeth for many years. Dr. Jeffrey Cohen has many years of experience with orthodontic services for children, adolescents, teens and adults alike. Patients in their 70s have even opted for braces.
A diagnostic work-up is used to develop the patients treatment plan and the dentist will need to take photos, x-rays and record models. After that the case can be planned and braces put in place with bonded brackets. The course of treatment can be anywhere from 6 months to 3 years depending on the amount of tooth movement needed and will be determined on an individual basis.
